About Khanin

“I find real joy to be able to shape a simple and relevant, yet practical roadmap to overcome a given challenge.”

I am a seasoned financial adviser, proud to be able to create greater financial certainty for my clients every step of the way. I find true meaning and purpose in ensuring that my clients and their loved ones will be ‘financially ok’ by tailoring robust personalised financial plans for their life goals and adversities.

Throughout my career, I have successfully collaborated with clients from various backgrounds and helped them achieve their personal and financial ambitions. I am a process-driven, result-oriented financial adviser who works alongside my clients to build a transparent and trusted relationship that helps them significantly improve their personal wealth and well-being in the long run.

Born in India, I migrated to New Zealand in 2012. I hold a bachelor’s degree in commerce, have two Post Graduate Diplomas in Business and Finance, and a level 5 qualification in financial services. Before joining Lifetime 2019, I worked in various industries including professional sports, international education, global banking, investments, and portfolio management.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing cricket and exploring new places, local markets, foods, and cuisines in and around my hometown, Hamilton.

My Three Golden Rules

  1. Prioritise ‘Personal Respect’ to foster stronger connections, positivity and satisfying existence.
  2. Pause and reflect before speaking up as thoughtful and constructive words can go a long way.
  3. Take the journey of practicing self-acceptance; set boundaries, and embrace personal quirks.

Neither Lifetime nor I have been subject to a reliability event. A reliability event is something that might influence you in deciding whether to seek advice from either myself or Lifetime. As an example, this would be a serious event such as legal proceedings against me, or bankruptcy in the last four years.

Scroogenomics at Christmas: Finding Joy Beyond ‘The Extravagance’

Gazing through the dimly lit windows of his modest office, Ebenezer Scrooge pondered the modern-day Christmas, “Ah, Christmas – each December, a tide of frivolity sweeps the world, with consumers collectively parting with an estimated $1 trillion globally on holiday spending.”

Reflecting on this, the Scroogenomist wonders, “What if Christmas were not marked by gaudy extravagance, but by acts of kindness? A season where gifts are not measured by their price tags, but by the care and thoughtfulness behind them. A handmade scarf, a heartfelt letter, or simply the gift of time – all these carry more value than gold. How uplifting it would be if people prioritized what truly matters: love, compassion, and the joy of giving.”

Facing a cash crunch? Let's go back to the drawing board...

In the face of rising interest rates and the increasing cost of everyday items at the supermarket, more and more households are finding it harder to get by.

Many New Zealanders are finding themselves back at square one, redesigning their personal budgets in hopes that they can free up some funds. While this task may appear daunting, it also provides an opportunity to weed out some unnecessary spending and shed a light on areas where improvements could be made.
