Board of Directors

Meet our Board of Directors.

Peter Cave

Managing Director

CFP

I started my career in Engineering in England in the 1980’s, then decided to travel to NZ for my OE where I found my passion was with investing and helping people understand finances rather than Engineering. After joining the Financial Services Industry, it became obvious to me that the NZ market required people to change their way of doing business, a journey of observation that led to the current delivery of advice with Lifetime Group. People want Advice for Life, they don’t need to have people deliver them products. I am proud to say I am leading our team of Advisers at Lifetime along the new regulatory path and know that all of our clients will receive top quality advice from our team that reflects their own personal financial journey. When not at work I enjoy some quiet time to gather my thoughts, changing from my work suit to my work boots to spend time in the garden.

Kate Vennell

Non-Executive Director

BA

Kate built her career in Financial Services with Legal & General - the UK’s largest provider of individual life insurance and retirement funding products. As part of the executive team of the L&G’s Life business, she drove strategy, digital developments, and improvements to financial performance. As Head of Investor Relations, she engaged with fund managers in the UK, Europe, and USA to encourage investment in L&G plc. As a consultant, she helped a range of financial services clients, including a large retail fund provider and a national advisory firm to respond to changing external dynamics. She believes the best businesses are also those which put the customer first.

Kate is also a trustee of Mindful Money and sees a growing role for Responsible Investment to address some of our big challenges while helping investors to manage long term risks and returns.

Having returned permanently to New Zealand, Kate is enjoying the opportunity to see more of our beautiful country.

Kate is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and a member of the Institute of Directors.
